Depuis toute petite pour moi, un chat de race était blanc, fin et à poils longs : aucune race d'alors (persans, birmans) ne correspondait à l'image que j'avais en tête.

En découvrant la photo d'un angora turc dans une revue en 1986, ce fut pour moi une révélation : il était là ce chat dont je rêvais et qui finalement existait !

J'ai dû attendre 2 ans sur liste d'attente pour enfin accueillir Déesse des Cat Ketty en mai 1988, pour mes 15 ans. Une histoire d'amour qui dura 17 ans et 11 mois.Ce fut pour moi unerévélation et le début d'une passion dévorante.

Rien de commun avec d'autres races, l'Angora turc est très affectueux, trop collant pour certains, fidèle, il restera attaché à vie, il possède une mémoire étonnante, une grande capacité d'adaptation, il est vif, joueur et apprend vite des tours : et puis hormis les expositions, il est à l'aise partout et très heureux de partir en vacances pour découvrir d'autres lieux. Il n'a rien d'un chat dégénéré, est plutôt bon chasseur et ne se laisse pas dominer par les autres chats. L'Angora Turc est plutôt un chat qui préfère les chiens aux autres chats, ce n'est pas un chat de "meute de chats".
